How to order a Boxer Bicycle
The ordering process is fairly simple. You send us a note through the contact page to tell us about your project. I will reply so we can get the ball rolling and send you some forms to fill out. After receipt of your completed forms and $500 non-refundable deposit (to hold your place in line), I’ll contact you 6 weeks out from your build start date to schedule a phone interview (or in person if you’re local) to discuss details of your project. Then I create a build proposal.
Upon your approval of the proposal and payment of the remaining amount on your bike deposit, I begin the design process, including CAD illustrations of the proposed bike. After your approval of the CAD drawings, I create a full scale drawing and prepare an order for the frame and fork components. If your bike will have custom, handbuilt racks I will also compile an order for these materials.
As the build progresses, I will provide updates on the status of your project and photos of the build sequence. If your project calls for a complete build, I will then require an additional payment towards the build kit. When the time comes near, I’ll let you know to begin thinking about powder coat colors and/or paint options. Then I build the bike and either ship it to you or you can pick it up in person. That way we can go for a short ride together.
