Lisa’s urban commuteur/porteur is complete. I took it for a spin down to Seward Park for a little shakedown ride and to see how it turned out. Nice and Smooth, that’s how it turned out. It was a bit late in the day, but I took some photos. She’s coming to pick it up on Wednesday and I hope to get some more photos of her and the bike.
Photos of bicycles by themselves can be beautiful, inspiring, informative, creative, blah, blah, blah. Photos of bicycles and their riders take things to a whole different level, especially photos of the bike and rider in action. These machines are not static artistic embellishments to be hung up in a gallery somewhere. No, they are to be ridden. And nowhere else can one get a sense for the constructeur’s full vision than when rolling down the road with it’s intended rider.
So, for now enjoy photos of the partial vision for this bicycle. Hold your breath till later in the week when I get more photos to experience the full story.

Wow. You build some gorgeous bikes. But I bet you get that all the time. Can’t wait to see some more pics.
Wow Dan, That front rack came out beautiful. So did the rest of the bike of course. Cheers, Joshua
Thanks Dylan and Joshua. Check out the latest blog entry for more photos. I’m happy with how this one turned out and most importantly, so is Lisa!
