Getting busy ’round here

WerkshopThings have really picked up in the past few weeks. This is fantastic. Literally, a dream come true. I’ve never been a very quick communicator, in general, and this digital media age has me up in arms, trying to keep in touch with people and manage a solid build schedule at the same time. Unfortunately, the more time I spend at the computer, means less time I’m able to be at the workbench building these fine bicycles you all wanna get yer hands on!

So, we are modifying the order process a bit, in order to keep the bikes going through the shop in a timely fashion.  This is going to help people new to the Boxer Bicycles build queue understand how and when you and I will have direct contact (email, phone and/or in person). It’s a large enough change to the policy that we’re pointing it out here, so everybody gets the memo and no one is turned off by the, sometimes glacially-paced, response to their inquiries.

All people currently in the queue and/or people I’m already talking with about their Boxer Bicycle project will have minor, but noticeable changes to the way our communication occurs. We will be in touch directly to notify you of the changes. Lisa and Vinny, you can expect no change to our communiques because the bikes are already at the build stage.

So, please follow the link to the Order Process page. It’s nothing super exciting, but it may be pertinent to a few of you.

Thanks to everyone for the positive response and all the wonderful interest. We are glad to see that people really do need bicycles for their real world, and ones that they’d like to get from us.

Oh yeah, what’s with all this “we” and “us” stuff? Well, my incredibly talented and well-organized wife, Katie,  is going to take on some of the tasks around here. That means some initial communications may come from her, leading up to further discussions about your project with me later on.
